Metropolitan
Watching a film like this makes you believe you could navigate the social scene of the Upper East Side despite your mongrel pedigree. A wonderful romanticized portrait of New York City life.  Too bad the reality of prep school youth today looks much more like this.

Kurt & Courtney

This Nick Broomfield documentary tells the story of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love the best way it can, by talking to the people in the fringes of their “scene.” These people who were left behind are the ones who actually know Kurt and Courtney. What comes out is not all that surprising. Kurt was shy about the fame and attention that came to him, and Courtney thrived on it.  While Kurt is now gone, Courtney is benefiting from the relationship and still getting attention from the press.
